Thank you for taking the time to read about the Holes family. Luke Ten Two is a family ministry dedicated to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and fallen world. We seek to tell people what the Lord Jesus Christ did for all mankind in order to bring us right before Him, and to bring Glory to God.
The Lord has called us specifically into evangelism ministry and although we are unworthy, we are greatly honored to serve Him in this way. It is our desire, as we know it is yours, to see God’s Word go forth so that people might respond to God’s kindness, turn from their sins, and trust the Savior.
The mission field starts where our front door ends. When we leave our home we have entered into the field where the harvest is plentiful. We have had the privilege to preach the Gospel in the Federal prison, on college campuses, in many cities, at events and in churches all across the country. We have traveled to All across the United States North, East,West, and South. We can’t wait to see what is in store for our family.
The name of our ministry came from the Bible: “And he was saying to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’” Luke 10:2.
Paul, when he wrote to the church in Corinth, said, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6. We are trusting God that we may be planting seeds, someone may be watering, but God will call people to humble themselves to Him in repentance and faith.
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
We believe in the the Bible, that all Scripture, Genesis through Revelation, is inspired by God. There are no errors or missing books. “ For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
We believe that there is one true God, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. That He exists eternally in three persons; The Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
We believe, according to the Scriptures, that Christ, in his deity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), was born of a virgin and died for our sins, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day. He lived a sinless life. (because he was God) We believe in His miracles, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to the earth in power and glory to rule for a thousand years. And we also believe in the fall and sinfulness of man and that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
THE GOSPEL (GOOD NEWS):
We are thankful for His sacrifice. We are thankful that He would take the punishment that we deserved. Every person on earth has broken His moral laws, such as lying, stealing, taking His Holy Name in vain, dishonoring our parents, coveting, making a god in our image that we are comfortable with, and not putting God first. Jesus taught that hatred is seen as murder in His eyes because God looks at our heart! Jesus said “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in your heart.” Matthew 5:28. So God sees lust as adultery. There is not a person in this world who is innocent!
Sin is the world’s biggest problem and God hates sin. God’s perfect Law brings all people guilty before Him, and our mouths are stopped when faced with the truth — thanks to the conscience God gave each one of us. (see Romans 3:19)
We cannot make up for our sins or somehow earn our way into heaven by any goodness. God is perfectly just but He loves us. He cannot overlook sin, or He would be corrupt. He sent Jesus to die in our place. God’s hatred of sin and His loving kindness toward us was demonstrated at the Cross. Now all people must repent of their sins and trust in Him because He has been so kind to save us.
The Bible says “For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”. Ephesians 2:8-9
Once you are saved, you know it because God removes our filthy stained heart and gives us a new heart, one that now hates sin and loves godliness and holiness. Gone are your old sinful ways that lead to death! “Therefore if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
We hope you are encouraged by visiting this site.
May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward for His suffering…the souls of ALL people!

Hi Shawn and family,
I just returned from Union Square NYC where 5 kids were telling one of our team about how you used to come there and preach. I just wanted you to know you are having a continued impact there. I meet with Stanley each sunday evening to talk about questions he has from the Bible and then we go to church. He has a real interest in the Bible and the scripture seems to excite him and he ends up texting all kinds of verses to his friends. Tonight, I took a team of 12 Bible school students to Union Square where we did a skit, message and worship before splitting up to take gospel surveys. Stanley joined us and did a great job of witnessing to a girl who was twirling fire wands. This is the third time this week that we did an outreach there and I tell the teams how this all was started by your ministry. Thank You!! NYSUM has made it one of their regular outreaches The team said tonight this was their best outreach yet. The first two times it rained. I’m trying to hook Stanley up with a group of believers close to his age. I just finished reading some of your blog. May God continue to bless your family and ministry.

Hey Shawn,
Don’t know if you remember me but we met during Jersey Fire and i did some open air preaching with you guys at the end of night.
Funny thing happened during Feb. I was one of the counselors that went with my youth group up to Word of Life. I met this one guy, his name is Brent Wittmer. And i was sharing how we do mall evangelism and this kid was totally on fire for going out and preachinig the Word. Then we found out that we both knew you. What a pleasant suprise. It’s awesome knowing how God connects people through our faith.
Keep on pressing on, brother.
Pastor Sean! Yestrday and the day before taht I watched as you preached and were heckled by the same 2 guys. These 2 gentlemen were there for 3 consecutive days at Union Square park. I know that the Lord will have mercy over them and I remembered when Pastor David Wilerson of timesquare church witnessed to Niki Cruz and even though Niki Cruz would blasfeme, curse, or resist the gospel he was then saved.
I hope all you Union Square heckelers understand that you may mock the word of God and curse but you just might never know that you might be the next Sean Holes preaching at the same park.
Sean and family God bless you all. It was nice meeting Daisy the dog too. : P
Blessings!

Sean (cheyenne, wy)
You have no right to judge others, Shawn! How dare you!
Hey Sean,
I don’t know if you remember me or not, but this is the Matt from USD. I just wanted to thank you for speaking at our campus and to let you know about some of the results of God working through you and other Christians on campus to reach the lost. Since your preaching, the Volante (our campus newspaper) has printed several stories about the preaching. They may not have been the kindest articles, but they are keeping your preaching in the minds of the students. Plus, I have had several conversations since Tuesday which started about your preaching and have allowed me to share the Gospel.
In fact, Wednesday night I worked at the front desk in one of the dorms from 12-4am. Normally, I’m bored out of my mind at those shifts between homework and general tiredness, but that night I had company. Two Catholic girls who had heard your preaching (and who were rather upset that John had said Catholics were not Christians) joined me at the desk. Begining with your preaching here on campus, we were able to have a great discussion about the holes in Catholic doctrine. I was truly amazed by the Holy Spirit working through me that night. I am not usually the guy who can remember a ton of Bible verses off the top of his head and definitely not the Book and verse. Usually (except for select verses), I just know the general gist of the verse and I have to look it up to get the exact wording. I’m very google-dependent in that way, I guess. Yet, that night the Holy Spirit led me to verse after verse to respond to the catechism book the two Catholics had retrieved to support their arguments. When the two girls left that night at 4:30am (Yea, they stayed for the whole shift and then some!), I think that they were really considering what it meant that their catechism could not support itself with Scripture. Were they convinced? No, but I think they were doubting. Plus, I was able to share the Gospel with them and grant them a much more accurate understanding of what it means to be saved by Jesus Christ: It is not works-based (There is no “brownie-system” as one of the girls put it), but rather, it is a gift of forgiveness which no amount of work can attain.
Once again, I’m sorry for being so angry with you that first day. I had doubts that God would use that type of preaching to truly reach people, but clearly I was wrong. We have been praying for you and your team while you are preaching in Brookings, praying that God would use you to reach the lost.
Thank you again!
In Christ,
Matt
Hey Matt,
I am praising the Lord that His Word does not return void.
It is hard to be a prophet- one who speaks the Word of God- and not compromise in the face of obvious disagreement. But the truth cuts like a sword, and the Law prods like a dentists tool. When the person yells and screams, the tool has hit its mark, and now the gospel can direct its healing power. Unfortunately, the scar tissue that has been seared around the heart has to be broken up before the seed of the Gospel can be planted and take root.
I am glad to hear the Holy Spirit got a hold of you and gave you the words to speak. Be bold, brother, and keep up the good work. Share your faith daily at every opportunity.

Shawn,
You visited my college a few weeks ago, and truly got me thinking. My parents sent me to a Catholic grade school, yet was the only one in my family who went to church. I felt as though they were being hypocritical. Once grade school was over, I didn’t seen the need for me to continue practice my faith since no one else in my family did. Since then (some 10 years ago), I have veiwed myself as not truly belonging to any specific religion. And recently, I feel lost. Can you guide me? What are your thoughts? What should I do now? What is your worldview and how can I obtain a better understanding? Thank you for all of your time, I look forward to hearing from you.
Shawn,
I was so happy/encouraged when I saw you at the Portland State University today. May nothing EVER stop you from doing what are you because this is what EVERY christian is called to do. Im encouraged and im thankful for people like you. My brothers and I will defitnetly stay in contact with you- and in God’s will we will see each other again!
Your Friend,
Victor N.
Thank you so much for what you do. My little brother heard you open air at NMSU. Although he still has not repented, it is nice to know that he has heard the gospel from someone besides his annoying older sister. May the Lord bless you as you continue to reach the lost.
MOOOOO MOOOOOO. BAHHHH BAHHHHHH BAHHHH. You are a sheep. A lamb of god if you will.
P.S. you are a fool. However, I do say that you are quite smart by starting a church. That is a very lucrative business venture and I intend to start a church of my own in order capitalize on the folly of the weak-minded as well. Any pointers?
(looks like you touched a nerve there)
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God….For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
You know you’re doing something right when you get these types of reactions. Bless you Shawn & crew…
Ps. I didn’t know you started a church, that’s cool! Can I join ; D
What a blessing to lift up the Lord of all Creation with you. May many thousands of students hear the gospel & look unto Christ & live!
Are you thumping?
